 The
Holland 1265 can mechanically plant a pot or plug up to 4" in diameter through plastic mulch or bare soil . Several size spades are available for different size pots or cela pot or cell because some weight is
needed to drop the plant out of the spades. The maximum plant height is 12" tall. The 1265 can also plant large seed such as
cucumbers, squash, and melons by adjusting the planting depth to 1" and hand dropping the seed into the pockets as they come around. This has worked
well for us. The minimum in-row plant spacing is 10.5" with all eight pockets mounted. The in-row spacing is adjustable by the number of pockets
mounted. Double rows can be planted on a bed of plastic by offsetting the planter on a toolbar and driving up and back the same bed of plastic. It will not plant bare root plants.
